Activist and member of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Aisha Yesufu, has said that she will be working against Peter Obi if he ever decides to become the running mate of any politician in the 2027 general election. There have been calls for Obi to become the running mate of any front-line Northern Politician.
Obi has since dismissed this call but has said that he is open to working with anyone desirous of taking Nigeria to the next level.
Yesufu in the video that has gone viral, said;
‘’He should run as Vice? I am giving you my word now. Do not say I did not say it. If Peter Obi is running with anyone as the Vice President or running mate to that person, me. Aisha Yesufu,in my little capacity, I will work against that ticket. Even if I do not support any other party, it is to work against that ticket. Because what is this? Why are wee always asking the best to be second? They have turned Peter Obi to the case of the way they treat women. They always put you in the deputy position, running mate. I have said it the other time..even if it is a goat that is running for President, you people will put Aisha Yesufu as Vice because as a woman, you see me as vice and nothing else''
