Akwa Ibim State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara, has dies in tragical circumstaces.
Ayilara, who had been battling health issues, died in the early hours of Thursday, 29th August at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
According to sources close to the family, Ayilara had undergone surgery for prostate cancer on Wednesday and sadly, he passed away just hours after the procedure.
A family member, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
“We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother, and family member, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” the source said, reflecting the family’s grief.
