The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board examination which held on Saturday, the 24th of April may have come and gone, but the examination body will not forget in a hurry, what a school located in far away Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Archdeacon Brown Education did to her.
Some
of the fine students when took part in the exam made sure they shuck JAMB to
her bones by scoring above the 300 threshold to come out victorious amongst the
amount of failure witnessed in this year’s examination.
According
the result released, JAMB stated that only 5% of the candidates made 300 and above
and 13 students from Archdeacon Brown Education Centre was amongst the 5% of
Nigerian students who made the country proud.
The
Executive Director of the school and former Managing Director of the Nigeri
Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dame Ibim Semenitari in her reaction to the
accolades brought her school by these 13 students wrote on her Social Media
hands thus.
“For
perspective, let me share the statistics as released by JAMB and then you will
understand why our hearts are so thankful. Archdeacon Brown Education Center
Boarding and Day Secondary Schools both sent a total of 42 children to write
the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB examinations. Out of these 13
scored 300 and above placed against a national average of 0.05 percent of the
1.8million students who wrote the examination”.
